Mezze and politics in Larissa

Larissa hosted the ‘welcome party’ of the new local PES activists’ group, our number 12 group in Greece!

The coordinator of the new PES activist group Olga Kagianni presented some of their activities to the crowd, where progressive MP Konstantinos Bargiotas was sitting, together with the coordinator of the city group of Thessaloniki, Eirini Stamatopoulou, and Theodore Douloumpekis, Coordinator of PES Activists Greece.

The PES activists are ready to bridge the gap between local communities and the complicated functioning of European institutions and politics. Eirini briefed the audience on their activities and how they are oriented towards mobilization ahead of next year’s EU election.

We need to offer a clear progressive, Pro-European agenda and we need to tell people that these elections are about the future of the EU!
